The 2010–11 season was Northwich Victoria's 136th season[1] and their first season in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, the seventh tier of the English football league system and the third tier of the National League System. The previous season, following financial issues, they were relegated from the Conference North, having finished in 12th position.[2]

Pre-season

Northwich began the new season in the Northern Premier League Premier Division following their relegation from the Conference North the previous season, due to financial issues. Most of the previous season's squad were placed on the transfer list, leaving only three players from the previous season.[3] The first four games in the pre-season ended with no victories, however a 3-1 win against Fleetwood Town, large-spenders from the Conference Premier, was seen as a good result for the club and a 'step in the right direction'.[4]
